Our flute virtuoso Şefika Kutluer, known as the “Magic Flute” in the classical music world, was deemed worthy of the best classical music interpreter award by a jury of international authorities organized by Russia. And she received the ” Golden Bravo Award”.

The ceremony of the “Golden Bravo Awards”, organized in cooperation with the Bolshoi Theater and JSC Russian Media Group, was held on April 25, 2023 on the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Şefika Kutluer was presented the Golden BraVo Award at the ceremony.

Kutluer gave a concert in the historic hall of the Bolshoi, one of the most famous halls of the world, accompanied by the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra and carried the spirit of Anatolia to Russia by playing Muammer Sun’s “Voice of the Steppe”. In other categories, the famous conductor Vladimir Fedoseev and the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra also received awards together with Kutluer.

Şefika Kutluer also gave a recital at the ceremony held in her honor at the Moscow Embassy on April 26.

Şefika Kutluer was greeted with great interest of the press members on the “red carpet” at the event organized almost like an Oscar ceremony.

Şefika Kutluer, who is known as the “Magic Flute”, has been carrying out many activities for children around the world as the goodwill ambassador of Unicef; she is the owner of the “Italian State Order”, “Austrian State Golden Order”, “Kazakhstan State Order of Culture” and “Slovak Republic Golden State Medal of Honor”.

Şefika Kutluer is also the recipient of the “Presidential Culture and Arts Grand Prize” for her services to Turkish culture in the first year this award was established.

Magic Flute Şefika Kutluer is one of the leading art ambassadors of our country with countless concerts she has given in 5 continents worldwide and 17 albums she has recorded.

Şefika Kutluer has 17 albums, including two with the Berlin Philharmonic and one with the British Royal Philharmonic orchestra, which have been distributed worldwide and received much attention.

 

Inspired by the fact that Turkey is an important bridge between east and west, Şefika Kutluer organizes an annual festival themed “East Meets West”.

Started in 2010 in Ankara and expanded to different cities in Anatolia in the following years, the “International Şefika Kutluer Festival” with the theme “East Meets West” was selected 1st in the “Best Festival” category at the “Ace of MICE Awards 2020”, which is considered the Oscar of the event industry.

For 14 years, well-known artists, orchestras, conductors and soloists from both Western and Eastern countries have been participating in the festival. In 2023, the 14th edition of the festival is taking place in December.
